Winter Wedding at Dalduff With a Bridal Cape, Flower Crown featuring Myrtle + Bracken

Here’s a winter wedding a Dalduff Barn that’ll turn your head. Embracing the Scottish winter, Roshni + Jonathan created a stylish day that reflected the season they chose to marry in. I first meet the lovely pair at a Braw Brides workshop I was taking part in. From the second we met, my photographer’s instinct told me we’d work really well together. I was bang on…

The couple pulled together something of a dream team to create a day to remember. It was brilliant to FINALLY get the chance to work at Dalduff. I now appreciate why so many of my photographer friends love it there. The light and general set up is great. Roshni had a clear idea of what she wanted for the florals. She pulled in the Myrtle & Bracken who made a gorgeous installation to feature at top and centre of the aisle. Roshni also pulled off a cracking flower crown. However, I have to pay homage to that dress…I mean…not only was her wedding dress by Unbridled genuinely stand-out, she went and had an actual real life bridal cape designed by Megan at Nut Meg Couture Bridal in Glasgow. I’ve never seen one before and now believe it’s something that should be enshrined in wedding law from henceforth on.

Finally, Roshni + Jonathan pulled a killer move - not only did the have the fabulous pianist Rosie Amrit play during their drinks reception, they had the epic sax chap, Chris Hardie, play during the turn around between the end of the meal and the start of the official party. It was a freezing day in November but all praise to Chris who had the crowd jumping, literally jumping, in what can be dead time. Suffice to say, we were all warmed up by the time Sneaky Treacle took the stage.
