Stylish Village Hall Wedding with the Pantry

Summer weddings in Scotland can be a precarious business. Scottish dwellers understand that mid-June to the end of August is a roulette when it comes to the weather. It’s arguable that only the bravest of souls commit to a wedding in mid-July; especially one reliant on favourable weather.

Thankfully, Louisa + Fraser lucked out: the sun shone. Not only that…it was warm which is something of a rarity for a Saturday in July! Before we begin, let’s rewind a few months. You might remember this fine pair from their engagement session.

Fraser hails from a wee place called Madderty, Perthshire. Coincidentally, there’s a cracking village hall which they managed to get their mits on. This completely blank canvas venue provided Fraser + Louisa (mostly) the opportunity to create a day reflective of what they value. One of their passions is food. It was no surprise they brought in one of Scotland’s finest catering companies: The Pantry. A company I could wax lyrical about. Having worked with them on a few weddings, The Pantry always deliver. Their family style meals along with incredible canapés are always gloriously presented, in ample supply and utterly delicious. It goes without saying, everyone was well fed and in awe of their culinary wizardry. Louisa + Fraser kept the standard high by creating a cake table from Birdhouse Cafe, Banchory and Wildfire Pizza Company joined us in the evening. Both were a hit.

Beyond the food, the vibe was boho and stylish. Louisa sourced her dress from Bibiluxe, an Etsy shop. It was a simple, elegant dress and beyond stunning on Louisa’s delicate frame. Louisa designed the stationery and styled the entire venue. I was thoroughly impressed by her skill. She seemed to have a keen sense of her own personal style which was articulated on the day but in a way that reflected the relationship she and Fraser have.

Enough chatter from me. Be off with you and enjoy this wonderful wedding.
