I shot this wedding in December of 2023 and I still think about it. Not only is Achnagairn one of the most magical and wonderful venues, but Cecile and Logan radiated the most chic and romantic energy. Cecile and Logan were after a photographer who knew how to capture the emotion of a moment, and they made that so easy. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Achnagairn, I’m utterly obsessed with this gallery. It was a rainy day, but that didn’t stop us from having an absolute blast running around the grounds, getting some outdoor shots and visiting the maze. Thankfully, Achnagairn has a stunning ballroom and a moody and shadowy balcony, where we snuck off to for bride + groom portraits after their first look. Before we go, I just want to say what a pleasure it was to shoot Cecile and Logan’s wedding in Scotland. They were after artsy, candid, and slightly moody shots with interesting framing and emotion in each image. These kinds of weddings fuel me. Give me joy and life! I loved loved love this day and years on, still think about it. They both said beforehand that they felt “awk” in front of the camera, but you’d never know. I shoot a mix of candid and poised shots (when the moment is right), and I’m always looking for the real, raw moments in the middle of what is a fast-paced, super busy, lovely day.
